Dining at Redcoats is, perhaps, a little different from other restaurants (aside from the fact that it’s not so easy to find a Good food restaurant near Hitchin and Stevenage!). In addition to our three dining rooms we have a bar, two sitting rooms and a large garden. Parts of the house date back to the 15th century and the exposed oak beams in the bar pay testament to the building’s heritage. Both of our sitting rooms have open fires in the colder months and make for a pleasant cosy place to relax.

Why not make the most of these areas, perhaps over an aperitif (or two) whilst reading through the menu. If you are dining ‘a la carte’ you will be brought some amuse bouche. We then invite you to your table as soon as your food is ready.

Dress code

Redcoats is a relaxed dining environment. We suggest a smart-casual dress code; smart jeans are fine although we would request no ripped jeans or sportswear.
